Smith's have a long pedigree of producing components for the defence industry be they torpedo sections, laser guided bomb components or more recently components for Armoured Personnel Carrier Vehicles.

Components for the Power Generation and Oil / Gas industry are also a speciality of Smith's. Power Generation components cover Rings & gear wheels made from various grades of Steel. Work for the Oil / Gas sector include pumps and meters made from steel castings.

These components take advantage of a selection of machine tools available at Smith's including Vertical Borers, Machining Centres, Splining and Grinding facilities as well as utilising many of the subcontractors available to us. These are all managed via a sophisticated MRP package.
